When Jessica Simpson decided to be an actress a few years ago, she was at her peak, both as a singer and as a good-looking person. While her big-screen debut was by no means decent, it earned a decent amount of money.
Since then, her films have followed a clear pattern, concluding with her most recent effort. Which is ironic, because as her body has ballooned, her movies' box office revenues seem to have done the reverse. See below:
- The Dukes of Hazzard (2005): $80 million
- Employee of the Month (2006): $28 million
- Blonde Ambition (2007): $1,300 (yes, that's correct)
- Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous (a.k.a. Major Movie Star, 2008): released direct to DVD!
Maybe Jessica Simpson should just stick to singing. Actually, maybe that isn't the best alternative either. Full-time professional football jinx? [Photos: Splash News Online]
